Buck Fever

On Nov 16 this buck walked out in front of the game camera we have mounted on Mike and Willene's property in Caldwell.

He had a little bit more corn to eat and decided to move on:

One week later, on Nov 23, he decided to come back. Well little did he know that Joy the Great Hunter was waiting for him:

A Quick Post

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update:

1. This past weekend we celebrated Baylee's 5th birthday. I can't believe my baby girl is 5. Where does the time go????? The Hannah Montana birthday party was a success. Some friends from her dance class, as well as her "boyfriend" Zeke from daycare, came. Pictures will be posted soon.

2. We recently got Bradlee's haircut for the first time. Well, we just got some of the curls cut off. His hair is still rather long and has since started to curl. Can you believe we have a curly haired child???? Pictures will be posted soon.

3. Preslee and Baylee started back playing Fall Ball. Don't they know that hunting season is right around the corner? Not sure how many Saturday games we will make.

4. The insurance adjuster finally came and evaluated the damage to our house. WooHoo!!! Now we just need to start the estimating process and maybe have the backyard back to normal by Christmas.

Ike

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update on our status.

In the wee hours Thursday morning Ryan and I loaded up the kids and dog into our two vehicles and headed northwest out of Houston. Arrived in Caldwell around 9:30. Mom arrived around 3 pm. Dad decided to stay behind.

I will never, let me repeat that NEVER, ride out a hurricane. I'm terrified of storms.

Dad checked out the damage and their house doesn't have any damage only a few trees down. Our back patio roof collapsed in the middle and our fences are down.

Hopefully everyone is safe and has minimal damage to their property. Not sure when we will be headed back to Deer Park. Hey, at least we are able to scope out the deer situation for hunting season!!!

Vacation Here We Come

We have a great vacatioin planned for the up coming week:

On Saturday we will be going to the Astros game. While we are there my family (The Broyles) from Kansas will be coming down. Krissy, Nathan and their 3 daughters - Rylee (age 6), Haylee (age 4) and Allee (age 6 months) will be staying at our house. Notice how all of their kids name ends in -lee like mine. Preslee is older so we started the trend first (heehee). Their parents -Jackie and Terry -will be staying with my parents.

On Sunday we will be having a cook out at our house and everyone will be coming over. So that means - frantic cleaning Sat morning before the game.

On Monday we will head to Kemah and then that afternoon off to Galveston. They have rented a condo on east beach and have so graciously invited us to stay. We stayed in the same condo last year. Very, very nice.

We will be staying there until Wednesday. Me, the kids, Mom and Blake will head back home Wed. night. Did I mention that Ryan and I have an anniversary on Tuesday (8 years wow)!!! I will then be doing laundry, re-packing, and then Thurs. morning take Pres to get his weekly shot. Sometime after that we will be leaving to go to the lake. We will be at the Lake until Monday.

I'm already exhausted!!!!!

Hello Is Anyone Out There?

Is there anyone out there looking and enjoying my blog. I feel like I am just blogging and posting pictures for myself. Does anyone read this? If so please leave me a comment.

So much has happened since my last entry. I'll first start with our trip to Minute Maid Park. Our cousin John Morgan had his birthday party there back in April. We got to tour the park in great detail - club level, press box, and even got to go into the dug out. Here are some picts from that event:

In April we also fished in the Annual McDonalds Big Bass Splash on Sam Rayburn Lake. Of course we didn't catch anything worth making that long drive to the weigh in but we had fun.

In May we finally finished baseball season (sigh of relief here). The kids had fun and are looking forward to starting fall ball in August. Here is a pict of Baylee and her coaches and her "boyfriend" Victor.

In May my baby graduated from Kindergarden (sniff, sniff). I can't believe how time has just flown by. Here is picts from his party and with his teacher Ms. Tiemann.

In June Baylee had her Spring recital at Steps Dance studio. For ballet she was I Dream of Jeannie and tap she was Petticoat Junction. She is such a performer (unlike her Mom). She went out there with a big smile on her face and performed her dances like a pro. I'm so proud of her.

We have made several trips to the lake and Caldwell. Boy what a summer.

Long Time

Sorry it has been such a long time since I have posted anything.

We are finally finished with baseball. The kids really enjoyed this season. I think we are going to put them in fall ball in August.

Preslee has officially graduated from Kindergarden. My boy is growing up so fast. I will post picts soon.
Baylee has a recital coming up on June 14th at 7. Please come if you can. It will be at Sam Rayburn High School auditorium.

Bradlee is into everything more than ever. I had prepared a good breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs, bacon, and biscuits this past weekend. I sat the plate with all the yummies on the kitchen table and left to do something on the computer. When I came back into the kitchen there was Bradlee sitting on top of the plate with food scattered everywhere. He just smiled that killer smile as if he had done nothing wrong.

We are headed to the lake this weekend for some R & R. I say R & R but not really. This will be Brad's first trip where he is mobile. Not sure what we are going to do with him when we go fishing on the pontoon.
